What Our Guests Say
A hidden gem of a hotel with peace, tranquillity, fair prices, and a lovely staff. Bed was super comfy, and the price was fair. I live in the area and needed a room for a night while guests were staying in my place. Could not have been more delighted. It was quiet and relaxing, like a little oasis of tranquillity (hard to find in Dublin).

Just excellent! This hotel is a real find, we opted for bed and breakfast which was excellent value for the quality of the food served and choice. The bar and outside seating was relaxed and comfortable – we ate our evening meal here the first evening and again the food was excellent and great options for everyone. The rooms were excellent, clean with lovely decoration and high quality bed and pillows, which was much appreciated after a long day walking the streets of Dublin viewing all the sights and attractions. We will be recommending to friends and family.

This hotel was spacious and comfortable. Beds extremely comfortable and shower was hot. Good variety for breakfast and staff were very welcoming and friendly. Good location, easy walking to the main shopping area of Grafton St. An added bonus was the historical significance of the building which had been built in 1859 as a school but tastefully repurposed as a hotel. Highly recommended.

Beautiful cozy comfy hotel. Red stone schoolhouse nestled along a creek and surrounded by fragrant roses. Bedding is wonderfully comfortable. With crisp white linens. Lovely room lots of space, sitting area, desk, updated bathroom with hot rain shower and bath products. Loved the early check-in. Irish Breakfast was delicious in a stunning vaulted ceiling exposed beams space. Quick brisk 25 minute walk to all Dublin City Center has to offer. Left my passport, credit cards and cash in the safe after checking out!! The wonderful honest staff called my cell and I was able to retrieve it without incident. Amazing service from honest people at great gem of a hotel!

We stayed at The Schoolhouse Hotel for the first time and were absolutely delighted. The hotel is located in a quiet area, yet it’s still just a short walk into the city centre, the perfect balance.
Our room was far more spacious than we had anticipated, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the staff was incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. The breakfast was outstanding, a wonderful way to start the day.
We visit Dublin regularly for work, and The Schoolhouse Hotel truly exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be returning.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic character. Comfy beds, couldn’t have been cleaner. Staff were polite and professional while being super personable and friendly. Location was ideal for restaurants and the Bord Gais theater, couldn’t have been better. Quiet and peaceful location. The car park had plenty of spaces, and paid parking just outside in case you did have to wait for a space. Will be returning.

Everything was excellent. The friendliness and efficiency of the staff, the comfort, the gastro bar, the very good breakfast, the fact that they cleaned the room even in the afternoon, the very calm and discreet hotel, even though it’s not in the center of Dublin it’s relatively close, ideal for spending a few days in Dublin.
