Your Day Two

The celebration doesn’t have to end on the night. For summer weddings, we can host a relaxed day two barbecue for you and your guests, an easy way to carry the atmosphere into the following afternoon without the formality of the day before.

Think casual food, good drinks and no set schedule. Our team will talk you through what’s possible for your numbers and the space you’re using. Weather always has a say in Dublin, so we’ll keep an indoor option ready alongside.

We had our wedding at the Schoolhouse and couldn’t leave without sharing such a positive review. The menu was absolutely stunning, and the wines were unique and thoughtfully selected. 

The Schoolhouse staff were wonderful throughout, especially Sophie the Events Manager, who immediately put us at ease and went above and beyond, even helping us work out the best layout for the room.

So many of our guests commented on how beautiful and well-kept the hotel was, and how much character the place has. It feels like a quiet little escape, which is impressive considering how close it is to Dublin city.

We felt incredibly well looked after from start to finish, and the whole experience made our wedding day feel even more special. We couldn’t recommend the Schoolhouse team highly enough.

We recently celebrated our nephew’s wedding reception at the Schoolhouse Hotel, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

From the moment we arrived, Sophie and the entire team were so welcoming, approachable, and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, and their kindness and professionalism made the whole day run so smoothly. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, allowing us to relax and enjoy such a special occasion with our family.

The venue was beautiful, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. A heartfelt thank you to Sophie and all the staff for helping to make our nephew’s wedding reception such a memorable day. We would highly recommend the Schoolhouse Hotel for any special occasion.

We had the afters of our wedding here in June, and we couldn’t recommend it highly enough. From the quick responses to our questions during the planning stage to the excellent service on the day itself, everything was fantastic.

Sophie was outstanding and went above and beyond to accommodate us in every way she could. The food and cocktails were amazing, and we’ve already been back twice since the wedding. This venue is a real gem in Dublin.

The rooms are absolutely beautiful—spacious, stylish, and finished to a very high standard. They were spotless, incredibly comfortable, and made our stay feel extra special. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into every detail.

My husband Samuel and I had our wedding celebration in the Blue Room at the Schoolhouse in April, and we couldn’t speak more highly of our experience there.

The venue itself is magical and so full of character – it felt like a fairytale. Moreover, the food was absolutely delicious and our rooms beautiful.

In particular, we’d like to thank Sophie who went out of her way to help us and make our day special – she really went the extra mile.

The Schoolhouse will always have a special place in our hearts.

We had such a wonderful experience at the Schoolhouse Hotel for our wedding celebration. From start to finish, everything felt relaxed, well organised, and genuinely special.

Sophie was incredible throughout the whole process and on the day itself. She was a calm and helpful presence and really understood the vision we had for the day and brought it to life beautifully. The table setting looked stunning and created exactly the atmosphere we were hoping for.

The service during the dinner was excellent and attentive. We also really enjoyed the pub area, and the reception staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay.

Overall, we had a fantastic time and felt very well looked after, and would absolutely recommend the Schoolhouse to anyone considering it for a celebration.

Can wedding menus be customised?

Yes. We offer a selection of seasonal wedding menus, and small menu alterations may be possible, subject to approval by our Head Chef. We are also happy to accommodate dietary requirements wherever possible.

While we do not have a dedicated wedding coordinator, our experienced Events Team will guide you throughout the planning process and assist with every aspect of your celebration. We are also happy to recommend trusted local suppliers, including florists, photographers and cake designers.

While we are not able to host civil ceremonies on site at the hotel itself, we are located just a short walk from the Dublin Registry office, making Schoolhouse an ideal venue to host your wedding reception after a civil ceremony.

Yes. The Dublin Registry Office is located approximately 400 metres from Schoolhouse Hotel, making us a convenient choice for couples planning a civil ceremony before celebrating with family and friends.

Yes. Schoolhouse Hotel is delighted to accommodate both the wedding couple and their guests, subject to availability. With 31 boutique bedrooms on site, your guests can relax and enjoy the celebrations without needing to travel afterwards. If you require multiple rooms, our team will be happy to discuss accommodation options and group bookings with you.

Little ones are welcome, but we do ask that they’re closely supervised at all times. The building dates from 1859 and its original doorways, steps and layout are part of its charm, so it isn’t ideally suited to very young children. We’re also unable to host children’s entertainment.

The original 1859 layout means the venue isn’t ideally suited to guests with mobility needs. If any of your guests have accessibility requirements, please talk to our events team in advance and we’ll always do our best to advise and accommodate where we can.
