Your Day Two

The celebration doesn’t have to end on the night. For summer weddings, we can host a relaxed day two barbecue for you and your guests, an easy way to carry the atmosphere into the following afternoon without the formality of the day before.

Think casual food, good drinks and no set schedule. Our team will talk you through what’s possible for your numbers and the space you’re using. Weather always has a say in Dublin, so we’ll keep an indoor option ready alongside.

Can wedding menus be customised?

Yes. We offer a selection of seasonal wedding menus, and small menu alterations may be possible, subject to approval by our Head Chef. We are also happy to accommodate dietary requirements wherever possible.

Is there a wedding coordinator?

While we do not have a dedicated wedding coordinator, our experienced Events Team will guide you throughout the planning process and assist with every aspect of your celebration. We are also happy to recommend trusted local suppliers, including florists, photographers and cake designers.

Can we host a civil ceremony at Schoolhouse?

While we are not able to host civil ceremonies on site at the hotel itself, we are located just a short walk from the Dublin Registry office, making Schoolhouse an ideal venue to host your wedding reception after a civil ceremony.

Is the Dublin Registry Office close by?

Yes. The Dublin Registry Office is located approximately 400 metres from Schoolhouse Hotel, making us a convenient choice for couples planning a civil ceremony before celebrating with family and friends.

Is there accommodation for the wedding couple and guests?

Yes. Schoolhouse Hotel is delighted to accommodate both the wedding couple and their guests, subject to availability. With 31 boutique bedrooms on site, your guests can relax and enjoy the celebrations without needing to travel afterwards. If you require multiple rooms, our team will be happy to discuss accommodation options and group bookings with you.

Is the Schoolhouse suitable for young children?

Little ones are welcome, but we do ask that they’re closely supervised at all times. The building dates from 1859 and its original doorways, steps and layout are part of its charm, so it isn’t ideally suited to very young children. We’re also unable to host children’s entertainment.

Can you accommodate guests with mobility or accessibility needs?

The original 1859 layout means the venue isn’t ideally suited to guests with mobility needs. If any of your guests have accessibility requirements, please talk to our events team in advance and we’ll always do our best to advise and accommodate where we can.
