The Deane and Woodward Suite on the Schoolhouse’s upper floor, also known as the Boardroom, accommodates 16 guests for a meeting or 14 for private dining. Whether it is a family get-together, company event or private launch, we will ensure it’s perfect for your requirement. “We organised a school reunion dinner at the Schoolhouse Hotel. We had 32 guests and were able to have pre dinner drinks outside on a glorious summer’s evening. The place was buzzing and had a good atmosphere. We then had organised a set menu in the Blue Room. The food and service were perfect for the event and our group was able to move around after the meal and socialise with each other. The Blue Room is full of character and the atmosphere was perfect. Our hotel representative Laura showed us the facility prior to the event and confirmed all details efficiently and professionally. Some of our group stayed which also was handy. I would recommend the Schoolhouse for a private dinner for a group.”

Do you offer meeting room hire?
Our boardroom, the Dean & Woodward Suite, is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology, perfect for private meetings, video conferences, and workshops. It accommodates up to 16 people. Let us help tailor the space to your needs.
Can we bring a DJ or have live music?
Schoolhouse Hotel is pleased to welcome live acoustic music as part of your celebration, including vocals and acoustic guitar, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere.
As we are both a boutique hotel and a protected historic building, we are unable to accommodate DJs, amplified live music, microphones or other sound amplification equipment. However, our Blue Room is equipped with a surround sound system, allowing you to play your own curated playlist during your event.
Can menus be customised?
We typically serve a seasonal 3-course meal or platter menus. We are open to small changes to the menu to make your event as special as possible. However, all changes must be confirmed by our Head Chef. Please let us know of any alterations and we can see if it would be possible.
Can you provide an event coordinator for bespoke events?
While we don’t provide full event coordination services, our events team can provide excellent contacts. We have great relationships with a local florist, baker, and photographer. Just ask us for recommendations!
Do you provide AV equipment?
Yes. Our meeting spaces are equipped with audiovisual facilities suitable for presentations, video conferencing and business meetings. Please let our Events Team know your requirements in advance so we can ensure everything is prepared for your arrival.
Is parking available for corporate event guests?
Complimentary parking is available for event guests, subject to availability. Spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis during your event, while overnight parking is reserved for hotel residents.
