Best kept secret in Dublin
Quite part of Dublin, but walkable to city center, Trinity and more. It’s a quiet location with a sweet courtyard off the first floor rooms. The rooms are decorated nicely and the bathroom has counter space. The staff is SO helpful and friendly. We actually stayed there one night in Sept before we started our journey around the whole island and then in October when we returned from 11 days on the road. It’s possibly the best kept secret in Dublin. We highly recommend staying here. We had a king sized bed that was very comfortable, the radiator was off - thank heavens. The Gastropub had SO much character and charm, delicious food too.

Comfortable and good food

I stayed at the Schoolhouse Hotel in Dublin from 3–4 August 2025 and had a truly lovely experience. My room was spacious and comfortable, making it a perfect place to relax after a day out in the city. For dinner, I ordered the wagyu burger with chips from room service, it was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Breakfast was another highlight. You can order exactly what you’d like for the cooked breakfast, which is a nice touch. I went for the full Irish; it was generous in size (more than I could finish!) but tasted fantastic. Overall, the combination of great food, a comfortable room, and friendly service made my short stay thoroughly enjoyable. I would happily return.
